Hundreds of people are injured or killed each year working around powered machinery. The types of injuries range from cuts and lacerations to crushed hands and arms, severed fingers, and even blindness.

Injuries can occur when an employee gets his/her hands into the operation of a machine, where the cutting, shaping, boring or forming of material occurs. In fact, if this is possible, the machine in question isn’t properly guarded.
